19Plus Day Service
Where everyday is a new adventure

About Us
Empowering adults with learning disabilities
19Plus was founded with a deep commitment to supporting adults with learning disabilities through inclusive, meaningful experiences.
What began as a small initiative has grown into a vibrant, welcoming community where every individual is valued and celebrated.
As a community interest company, we reinvest all profits into the service, creating more opportunities, more activities, and more growth for everyone involved.

What we offer
A wide range of inclusive activities
We design our sessions to empower, engage, and inspire. From cooking and crafts to outdoor adventures and skills workshops, every activity is purposeful and inclusive.
All sessions are led by qualified professionals and supported by our experienced team of support workers.

Our programmes are carefully designed to:

Improve communication and social skills
-
Encourage lasting friendships
-
Promote health and well-being
-
Reduce social isolation
We believe every adult with a learning disability should have the opportunity to access their community in a purposeful, supported way.

Our Services
Well-being and creativity day

These sessions combine calming yoga and mindfulness practices and a wide variety of crafts. The yoga and mindfulness sessions enable service users to develop body awareness, regulate their emotions and helps to reduce anxiety. The creative sessions allow service users to experiment with colour, texture and different materials. Whether painting, sculpting or crafting, the focus is on motor skills, self-expression, building confidence and self esteem while creating something unique.
Woodwork and upcycling day

Our woodwork and upcycling day enables service users to learn valuable crafting skills and techniques to build items from scratch and upcycle old furniture. These sessions cover safe use of tools, how to measure, cut, drill and create functional items.
Cooking and nutrition day

These sessions are run by professional chefs who teach the group to become confident cooks by learning the skills needed to cook nutritious food from all around the world. The sessions include learning kitchen safety and hygiene, knife skills and food prep, cooking techniques and food presentation.
Outdoor learning and adventure day

Our outdoor experience days have proven to give even the most anxious members of the group confidence, determination and self-belief. The days focus on fun activities that promote physical improvement and teach teamworking and problem-solving skills. We cover a wide range of activities from climbing, canoeing and cycling to animal care and working with nature during our bushcraft days. Working closely with nature is good for everyone’s physical and mental health.
Our Team
Bringing the adventure to life.
Our dedicated staff team bring a wealth of experience, compassion, and energy to everything they do. Each team member has a unique skill set that helps empower and support our members to live fulfilling lives. Caring and approachable, they create a fun, safe, and supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to grow, connect, and thrive.
